Some will say that gluttony awakens with the approach of Christmas, and this is not totally false! During our last getaway to Andernos, we took the opportunity to seek advice from the locals. Pastry, artisanal products, oyster huts, what are the gourmet addresses they recommend?

Pastries and chocolates from La Maison Richard

First stop on our gourmet path at La Maison Richard at Jean-Luc. At the entrance to the shop, the artisanal ice creams catch our eye, even if autumn is there to remind us that summer has also taken a vacation. We particularly love Maison Richard for its Pignottes du Bassin. Ideal for a little treat or to give to the family next Christmas.

Homemade jams from Maison Marelia

We had the pleasure of being able to go behind the scenes of the Marelia jams, where we observed Delphine in full preparation of the next cuvée. For lovers of the great classics, strawberries are our guilty pleasure. To dare a touch of extravagance, we fell in love with the "Strawberry with Vodka Pyla" or the "Fig, Apricot with spices & pistachios" which goes wonderfully with foie gras!

Delphine does not only offer jams, her overflowing creativity has led her to other paths: such as mango ketchups and flavored vinegars. An idea that we keep in mind to dare to create creative dishes.

A dive into summer Ô Sorbet d'Amour

A gourmet address appreciated by holidaymakers and locals alike, the Sorbet of Love everyone agrees. It's our little Proust madeleine, and not just during the holidays. We regularly succumb to an ice cream during a walk on the pier of Andernos.

A platter of oysters facing the Bassin at Perlostréa

Tasting an oyster platter in any season is almost a no-brainer for the locals. There is no shortage of beautiful addresses on the Bassin in Arcachon, with as many atmospheres and landscapes as there are oyster farmers. For us, the meeting is as much a part of the experience as the tasting, and finding Pauline from the cabin " Perlostrea is always a renewed pleasure.

Patisseline's gourmet little butters

Last stop of this walk with gourmet notes with Patisseline. We find there the small butters of our childhood, with such a particular taste, which resonates in all minds. These are of course artisanal and made with the same passion that Line has in her voice when she tells us about her job.
