Mother-Daughter Spring Getaway
Right in the center of village of Taussat, warmly welcomed by Michelle in her villa, Camille wanted to make this day unforgettable by enjoying privileged moments with Iris, her little girl. A weekend out of time, on their own, lulled by the song of birds and the sweetness of a few chocolate eggs.
COLORS AND CABINS 🌞
After a stop on the colorful banks of the port of Biganos, Iris and Camille begin, under the intermittent spring sun, the rest of their walk in the heart of the reservoirs of the Teich Ornithological Reserve. Encircled by the arms of the Leyre, this reserve – migratory route – is a protected environment where passing birds come to nest with the seasons!
BIRDERS FOR A DAY 🦆
This natural space, formerly covered by the ocean, later dyked in favor of fish farming is today for many hundreds of species, a real refuge where it is good to come and recharge your batteries. In immersion our two little ornithologists go blend into this vibrant environment, conducive to the discovery of a rich and varied fauna.
From the top of the belvedere suspended in the flight of a solitary bird of prey, Camille and Iris, light, soak up this awakening nature who since their arrival, never ceases to amaze them. Equipped with their binoculars, attentive, they let themselves be caught up in the tranquility of the place only disturbed by thehe morning croaking of a gathering of frogs.
Invisible and lurking in the reeds, if we only guess their din, it is not uncommon on the contrary to spot a pond turtle or large green lizards come to take on the sun.
Reunited and accomplices, the young mother and her little girl discover the full extent of these wild landscapes, made accessible by a succession of wooden footbridges and small pontoons. Snipes, gray herons, dragonflies and terns share the splendor of this green setting, where nothing, not even the human presence, disturbs them.
Camouflaged in the secrecy of one of the many observatories present on the spot, mother and daughter, silently spy on the knights, who on their fine stilts sink deep into the mudflats to feed on small invertebrates.
The delicacy of a swan, the deployment of a caterpillar, the return of the geese, the awakening of the deer, for the seasoned eye who knows where to look, both dense and restful, the Reserve never falls asleep . Wagtails, gulls, buzzards and cormorants, all, to observe them closely, seem to have found in these places, a haven, a landmark where to live in harmony.
