Writers’ Beach: May 3 and 4, 2025 – ARCACHON
THE meeting place for authors who make literary news. Meetings, signings and of course
the essential reading on the sand... Big names in literature have already participated: Philippe
Besson, Eliette Abecassis, Frédéric Beigbeder, Anne-Lise Brochard, Julie Gayet, François Hollande,… It is also the occasion to present the Literary Prize of the City of Arcachon as well as the Literary Prize of the high school students of Arcachon.

The Foam of Words: May 17 and 18, 2025 – ANDERNOS LES BAINS
L’Écume des mots, organized by the Andrée-Chedid Media Library in partnership with Escale du Livre
de Bordeaux, invites renowned national authors and young emerging talents to present their
last work. A cultural event in the form of literary meetings, exchanges, debates,
under the tall trees of the Louis David Garden.

Gujan Thrillers Festival: September 27 and 28, 2025 – GUJAN-MESTRAS
When Gujan-Mestras becomes the theater of intrigue… Under the keen eyes of the guest authors, masters of literary crime, the “Gujan Thrillers Festival” takes place in the heart of the picturesque Port de Larros between the typical huts and the salty air of the basin. On the program: dedications, round tables with the authors, escape game, National Police workshops and Gendarmerie activities, creative workshops.

Flights of Art: From June 28 to August 31, 2025 – LA TESTE DE BUCH
Painting competition on the theme “Nature in summer”: applications will be made at
spring and the exhibition of the 50 selected paintings will take place from June 29 in the park of
the town church.
Artist residency at Maison Louis David: from October 13 to November 22, 2025 – ANDERNOS LES BAINS
The goal of the artist residency is to meet an artist during their work and to gain a more detailed understanding of their artistic journey and creative process. The artist will stay for 6 weeks and will focus on times for discussion with the public, workshops to learn about artistic creation and their new works to be discovered at the end of the residency.

Chamber music festival: April 12 to 21, 2025 – ARCACHON
In collaboration with the Association of Friends of Chamber Music of Arcachon, the 7th edition of the Festival invites all music lovers to six exceptional concerts. The Modigliani Quartet offers you a high-flying program with a very international flavor. In Arcachon, the emotions of music have no borders!
Cap Ferret Music Festival: July 5-11, 2025 – LEGE-CAP FERRET

The Jetée concerts: from July 5 to August 16, 2025 – ANDERNOS LES BAINS
All summer long, the city lives to the rhythm of free concerts on Saturdays in the early evening. Come and see us on July 5-12-19 and August 2-9-16 on the esplanade of the Jetée. On Monday July 14 and Friday August 15, the concerts will give way to the fireworks display in front of the Jetée on the Bassin.

Arcachon Grand Summer Concerts: July 25-27, 2025 – ARCACHON
These great open-air evenings – in the heart of the Arcachon Velodrome – punctuate the summers of locals and holidaymakers, who embark with a one-way ticket for 4 exceptional concerts. Street Art Week: June 2-7, 2025 – ARES
Since 2020, 20 transformers have been rehabilitated by 20 professional artists. The objective? Reach
the 50 transformers in 2026! A journey rich in several works to discover in different
neighborhoods of the city.
Festival Regarde!: June 27-28, 2025 – ARES
This young festival has established itself as a must-see of the cultural season with shows in
breathtaking nature. Three days during which the public space in Arès tends to sublimate,

Teste à Têtes Festival: September 12-14, 2025 – LA TESTE DE BUCH
An unmissable event for circus and street theatre fans, the 8th edition of the Teste à Têtes festival will take place at the Komonò Circus (in La Teste-de-Buch). For three days, enter their offbeat, joyful and friendly world, with magnificent shows, an artistic funfair… and a big top!

Meet in Lecoq Park, the green lung of Biganos for this festival honoring the world
agriculture and wood. On the program: exhibition of old tools, mobile farm, craft market, woodworking workshop, combine harvester demonstrations and numerous activities around the agricultural world, nature and artisanal know-how.
The Great Arcachon Debate: November 21 and 22, 2025 _ ARCACHON
Come to the Grand Débat d'Arcachon, the event that invites you to explore the major issues of our society (philosophy, religion, economy, free opinion, etc.) with a new and incisive perspective.
MARITIME HERITAGE
Maritime heritage has always maintained a special relationship with the territory. From yesterday to today, it has managed to maintain its identity and cultural role and is reflected in an offer structured as follows:
- Activities around the heritage aspects of oyster ports and villages are organized throughout the year (example at the port of Larros by the Maison de l'Huître).
- The municipalities have developed festivals around traditional values such as “Cabanes en Fête” in Andernos-les-Bains, “Terra Ostra en promenade” in Gujan-Mestras, the “Fête de la Turlutte” in Lanton, the “Fête de l 'Oyster' in Arès or the Oyster Festivals throughout Bassin!
- The municipalities have delegated the management of structuring facilities, dedicated to maritime development, to their Tourist Office to integrate them into an overall tourism development policy: this is the case of the Maison de l'Huître and the Cap Ferret Lighthouse. .

The 10th edition of the Arcachon Boat Show: from April 18 to 21, 2025 – ARCACHON
A true showcase for professionals in the nautical industry, this show is an opportunity to unveil the
new products, creations, know-how and innovations. Many exhibitors of local, national and international renown will thus stop off in Arcachon. This year the show offers visitors the chance to discover innovation, tourism, crafts, defense, rescue and local products. Exceptional ships will stop off at the show: The Belem with the Olympic flame on board, the Belle Poule (French Navy training ship), the Lys Noir and Eric Tabarly's 4 Pen Duicks.

Cabanes en fête, an unmissable celebration: December 6, 2025 – ANDERNOS LES BAINS
This is the unmissable PARTY on the Bassin of Arcachon at the very beginning of winter. The recipe? Organize a big oyster party in the 45 cabins and workshops of the oyster port of Andernos-les-Bains, add a Bordeaux appellation of white wine, Entre deux Mers, excellent restaurateurs to concoct tapas made exclusively with seafood, and local artists! An event in line with the big festivals of the South-West where bandas, brass bands and concerts punctuate the day which ends under the stars with a fireworks display!
