Bassin d’Arcachon: heading for a green future!
For several years, local actors of Bassin of Arcachon, whether from the tourism or agricultural sector, are passionately mobilizing to promote sustainable and responsible practices. Their combined efforts make it possible to discover the Bassin differently, with a more attentive and respectful look towards this preserved nature.
Collective mobilization

The success of this transition towards sustainable tourism depends on cooperation between the different stakeholders in the region.

Awareness and permaculture
The success of this transition to sustainable tourism rests on the cooperation between the different actors in the territory.
To encourage good practices, Arcachon's Bassin focuses on awareness.
Of the permaculture workshops are regularly organized for the residents and visitors in order to allow everyone to learn from eco-responsible actions and easy to adopt on a daily basis.

What is permaculture?
It is a cultivation method that imitates natural ecosystems, thus promoting biodiversity and soil health.

Many workshops are thus organized at " Lanton vegetable garden » as well as to "Bardobio" to discover and practice sustainable agricultural methods. These places then become oasis of serenity and learning, where every action contributes to the preservation of this environment.
Sustainable and organic agriculture

In fact, the municipalities of Bassin are committed to maintain green spaces as well as the roads responsibly, gently and without pesticides. This approach allows the protection of water quality and preservation of health inhabitants and ecosystems.
