Two rising stars of the new French scene, Adèle Charvet and Le Consort, are paying tribute to a forgotten and vanished place: the Teatro
Sant'Angelo in Venice and pay homage to Vivaldi. During the Venice Carnival of 1637, a play "rappresentata in musica" is presented to the public… A success. Opera is born and spreads like wildfire.
Powder. In 1677, the Teatro Sant'Angelo opened its doors. Vivaldi created his operas there and invited composers such as the young Chelleri and Ristori… Mezzo-soprano Adèle Charvet and her six accomplices from Le Consort (including Théotime Langlois de Swarte and Justin Taylor) celebrate all these composers with a flamboyant program!
