The Salt Meadows Ares-Lège

Take a stroll along the pedestrian paths of the Prés Salés at low tide...

You can access the Prés Salés in two ways. From the oyster port of Arès or from the Résinier cabin in Lege-Cap Ferret.

Set off on foot to criss-cross this beautiful and completely preserved natural area. In the places left free by the receding tide, search for salicornia with its slightly salty taste.

Keep your eyes wide open to try to spot the lizards that blend into the grass or even the European pond turtles.

In spring, birds come to nest here and the show becomes a musical! In autumn, the lights play with the vegetation, a real delight for the eyes. In winter, you can observe the wintering waterbirds on the Arcachon Bay, such as the Brant goose.

For sports enthusiasts, the wild trails of the Prés Salés d'Arès-Lège are also a great spot for jogging!
