Take a break at the Parc Mauresque
From place du 8 mai, take the elevator to Parc Mauresque which connects the Summer Town to the Winter Town. Once you exit, step onto the balcony to admire the view of the Arcachon Bay. Once at the top and away from the hustle and bustle, enjoy a cool break in the shaded pathways of the park. With a children’s playground, a kiosk and benches, Parc Mauresque is an invitation to relaxation.
Climb to the top of the Sainte-Cécile observatory
To get there, you will need to cross the Saint-Paul footbridge! And to admire one of the most beautiful panoramic views of the Ville d’Hiver and the Bay, climb the steps to the belvedere. By discovering it up close, you will find some of the similarities it shares with a well-known monument to everyone. It must be admitted that Gustave Eiffel participated in this project.
Discover the Ville d'Hiver with a guided walk
Let yourself be told the history of the Ville d'Hiver. TheArcachon Tourist Office offers guided tours from April to October. And throughout the year, you can discover the neighbourhood by little train, audio-guided tours or by participating in a game of riddles.
