With 5 municipalities with a particular charm, the Heart of the Bassin of Arcachon is above all a territory with fragile natural spaces. Biganos , Audenge , Lanton , Mios and Marcheprime each have their own personality and we advise you to discover them. From the Certes-Graveyron estates to the Leyre delta, the Heart of the Bassin brings together all the ingredients for a real vacation!
Stroll around the port Biganos
Start your day by discovering the port and its typical cabins in the middle of the forest. Venture into the flowered avenues to admire the pretty colors of the cabins along the Leyre. Then go for a walk or canoe-kayak trip on the banks of the Leyre. As you advance along the delta, you will witness the meeting between the freshwater river and the Bassin with its saline waters! And for oyster lovers, take a break at Antoine's (oyster bar at the port) or a picnic in the shade of the trees.
Venture on the wild coast of Audenge
Head to the east bank of the Arcachon Bay for a 100% nature discovery! Enjoy a stroll in the Marais de Mesple with Alexandre, a nature guide who will introduce you to the fauna and flora of the marsh. Contact the Tourist Office of Coeur du Bassin to uncover the secrets of the Marais de Mesple!
At mealtime, head to the oyster port of Audenge to taste some fresh oysters! In the summer, if you feel like it, you can enjoy the seawater pool, located at the entrance of the port. It's ideal when the tide is low!
Continue the day with a walk in the Domaines de Certes and Graveyron. If you look carefully, you might be lucky enough to spot several bird species!

Stroll between land and sea in Lanton
This preserved coastline amidst the pine trees encourages relaxation. For a nature-filled moment, start from the swimming area and take the coastal path to the top of the Branne of the Domaine de Certes. The view is splendid! In July and August, embark on a sea kayaking trip from the Port de Cassy to discover the maritime side of the Heart of the Bay. After these getaways it's time for a swim at Suzette Beach or the large beach of Taussat-les-Bains (swimming possible at high tide only).
Mios and Marcheprime
For thrill seekers, Mios has plenty to keep you entertained! Climb to the top of the trees on a treetop adventure course (T en Leyre) , catapult yourself through inflatable obstacle courses, try water skiing with a cable tow, go wakeboarding, or paddle boarding (Lakecity Where Aquapark33). You can also walk or take a boat ride along the Leyre river.
