First stop: the train station Biganos<\/a><\/strong> ! In just 3 hours, you will be far from the hustle and bustle of Paris, at the heart of the Bassin of Arcachon<\/strong> !
Fresh off the train, collect your bikes at one of the rental companies near the station<\/a><\/strong> (or have it delivered<\/em>) and start your journey towards Mios<\/a><\/strong>, a pretty town nestled between river and forest! A change of scenery guaranteed!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Take the opportunity to get rid of all your gear. to your accommodation<\/strong> ! For an authentic experience, why not opt for a bed and breakfast<\/a><\/strong> ? There are several on Mios<\/strong> \ud83c\udfe1 !<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the morning, get on your bike and reach Biganos station<\/strong> and climb into the train with your bikes direction Le Teich<\/a><\/strong> for a morning under the sign of ornithology <\/strong>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hike through the heart of the R\u00e9serve Ornithologique du Teich<\/a><\/strong> and try to observe one of the 328 species of birds<\/strong> who stay there, between woodlands, reed beds, meadows, maritime marshes and lagoons! <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And yes, because the Bassin of Arcachon is located at the heart of one of the most important migratory corridors on the planet<\/strong> : the migratory corridor East Atlantic<\/strong>, used each year by tens of millions of birds from the Nordic lands (Northern Europe, Russia, Siberia, Iceland, Greenland, Canada\u2026<\/em>). A large part of these birds transit through France every autumn to reach the Mediterranean basin or Africa.<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So these are different species that you will discover over the seasons, and depending on migration periods!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The concept: a collective canoe trip<\/strong> on the Leyre (or the Eyre, both are said here<\/em>), Then a discovery on foot of the Reserve with a naturalist guide<\/strong> ! Transport tips \ud83d\udeb2 :<\/strong> To get there from Le Teich, opt for a mix train\/bike<\/strong> ! Some rental companies have the possibility to come pick up your bike directly where you will be<\/strong> ! You just need to tell them in advance (at the time of booking for example<\/em>) and they will collect your bike from Teich station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Transport tips \ud83d\udeb2 :<\/strong> Once we arrived at the La Teste train station<\/strong>, you can join COBAS route 11, towards the Cazaux nautical stopover<\/a><\/strong> ! But before that, get some new bikes from one of our rental companies in La Teste, or have it delivered directly to the station<\/a><\/strong> ! Just think to bring them back safely when you return, or to anticipate their recovery.<\/strong> \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once at the lake, there is something for everyone: rather chill on the beach, apprentice explorers on a sailboat, sportsmen on a paddle <\/strong>or custom made Davy Crockett canoeing on the Leyre!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our advice <\/strong>\u2b50: on sunny days, arrive in the middle of the afternoon and enjoy a sunset over the lake: the ideal spot for a family picnic<\/strong> ! Day 3: sandbanks, like in Polynesia<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The end of your trip is approaching\u2026 But there is no question of leaving without visiting the Arcachon's largest beach, and its sandbanks that look like the end of the world: Pereire beach<\/a> ! <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
